My name is Joe Walker & I am the founder and main instructor at Joe's Karate as well as owner of Joe's Boxing in Five Dock Inner West of Sydney.

In summary I have well over 30 years of continuous martial arts experience and hold a 5th Dan Black Belt in Karate as well as a Black Belt in a Samurai Sword with significant experience in Judo, kickboxing and aikido. I am now also a successful Olympic style boxing coach have students who have won state titles in the current year . I am one of the few instructors to actually own the property we teach from as well as a training retreat close to Sydney and although I have some assistance I teach over 80% of classes myself and know absolutely everyone of my students.                        

Our school is divided into two areas where Joe's Boxing forms the majority of our adults & youth (13+ years) and a karate program for kids under 13 years.

For kids 8 years + to about 14 years we have a realistic Karate Martial Arts Black Belt Program achievable in about two-three years which will equip students with skills they can retain for the rest of their lives with strategies and techniques appropriate to different scenarios to both defeat the bully or foil a serious attack.

As part of the kids program we also teach samurai sword and other stick weapons which helps keep interest high and can provide a safe way to enjoy combat

I own 100 acres of bushland backing onto the Wollemi National Park near Rylstone three hours from the start of the M4 where there will be opportunities for kids to experience authentic Australian bush and see incredible scenery and wildlife and see real stars in front of a blazing fire.

Giving students a view of another life outside Sydney and the opportunity to see the real Australia is a passion of mine.
